How do I write a book review in third person?

We have an assignment that says we have to write a book review, using our opinions & quotes from the book, but we can’t use 1st person or 2nd person. How would I express my views in other ways besides “The reader” ?

    Just don’t use anything like that. Say things like: “The author has failed to take into account…. “
