Any book reviews on the novels “Ordinary People” by Judith Guest and “Secret Life of the Bees” by Sue Kidd?

I have a summer reading project this summer where I have to read and do a report on one of the two novels. Anyone have any reviews on either of the two books, or have a personal favorite between the two? Thanks.
Also, comments on the length of the book would be appreciated, and whether or not it could be a ‘guy book’ (highschool).

    I loved Secret Life Of Bees by Sue Kidd! it was so sad but really heart touching! It teaches you a lot i’ve seen the movie as well
